Dropped Equipment Protection

Equipment with Runeforged quality, affixes, or a special variant remains on the ground longer after being dropped.

Equipment state	Ground lifetime
Legendary	60 minutes
Rare, Alien-Cursed, or carrying an Infusion Affix	30 minutes
Magic, other Cursed equipment, any other Runeforged equipment, or a special weapon variant	10 minutes

Ordinary items use Minecraft's standard despawn time. Protected lifetime is saved with the item and is not reset by chunk unloading or server restarts. Hostile mobs cannot pick up protected equipment; other item-moving entities and mechanics retain their normal behavior.
